Well I have read a few post in forums etc and they appear to be very old or outdated so I thought I would ask the Question ?
I have the Netgear Stora Product and everything is working well with the default supplied 1TB HDD. Now as I have ran out of Disk Space I went and purchased a 3TB HDD. This is what I would now like to configure on the Second Bay, this is now installed and show in the Preferences Menu under Raid as " Unused" but show correct disk space. I assume this now has support for larger than 2TB disks with later updates ?
Now I would like to "EXTEND" my storage and "DO NOT WANT RAID", however in the User Guide it asks you to configure a JBOD. Now initially this was not even a option in the Menu until I updated to the latest release build and now have a "Disk Management" section under Preferences and now can configure the drive as "Extended Storage" now disk reflect on Disk 2 as 2.7 TB. So it looks all good so now I question is, does the Netgear Stora in JBOD mode just will continue to work as normal or will data still fill disk one then 2, or do I need to setup new shares etc ?
