Hallo all
Just set up my WND4000 two days ago. It replaced a Belkin G type there was really nothing wrong with. All seemed to work fine other than the setup Genie program getting lost somewhere at first and the access URL given finding that page that IE goes to when it cannot find an address.
Here is the disappointment part and also the 'mystery'. My Motorola SB6120 modem has a lamp indication 'LINK' that detects the port it feeds into. If it sees a gigabit port it lights blue, else for slower e.g. 10M it lights orange. This was a good portion of the motivation for a new router that evidently should have entailed more research. I called the service number to inquire and spoke to, I supect, an Indian. This is not a knock on this service; he was clear and knowlegable and did a good job. Once past the 'modem maybe incapable' idea the answer was that the WAN port is not gigabit capable. It did finally dawn on me that with a 12M service (cable) 1G at that port was not critical. But I have read reviews that say all the ports are gigabit including the WAN one with other sources saying WAN is 10M or 100M. What is the real story here, and anyone else running this with an SB6120?
