Hi
I have a Netgear DGN2000 and have had for 2 years now.
I recently bought a new Xbox 360 Slim console. I am having trouble connecting to Xbox Live. I can connect without a problem using the wireless adapter within the Xbox but I experience more lag when using wireless. When I try to connect via ethernet cable, my Xbox does not register that there is a connection between the modem/router and the Xbox.
I thought it could be the Xbox but when I connect the NEW Xbox to the OLD one via the ethernet cable , it recognises a connection, also this confirms that the ethernet cable is not faulty. The OLD Xbox will connect to Xbox Live with the same ethernet cable. I have Port Forwarded appropriate ports.
I thought perhaps that I could try to create a static IP for my xbox but I am not sure how to do that. Can somebody tell me how or offer an alternative sloution.?
Thanks
