I have a Netgear WGT624 v3 wireless router that has worked pretty well over the years. At times the internet would stop working so I would unplug the router for 5 minutes and when I plugged it back in, the internet would work.
Today, when the same problem happened, I had someone in the house unplug it. When I plugged it back in, that's when the problem started. There is no internet connection through the router (there is in the modem) therefore the wireless internet in my house is gone and the wireless name does not show up. All of the proper wires are connected to where they should be.
All of the green lights were lit on the router except for the wireless one. Before, it did say that there was internet through the router although nothing was working. After I unplugged the modem and router and left them both off for 10-15 minutes, I plugged them both back in. Somehow that made things worse. Now the only lights lit up on the router are the "on" one and there is a yellow/orange light on the number 3. That's it.
If someone could please help me, I would really appreciate it. All of my work involves using things over the internet so this has become a big problem.
