Hi,
This afternoon i have bought the WN3000RP. I thought it would be piece of cake. Instead im on the verge of pulling my hair out.
I have a wifi WPA/WPA2 PSK non WPS home network. As described in the fantastic manual i have choosen for option 2. Fired my Laptop, searched for networks and yes, im able to connect to the Netgear extender. But...its a unsecured connection. How?? Im having a secured WPA/WPA2 PSK megapassword protected wifi and the Netgear just bypasses the security offering my Wifi for everybody in the street.
Whatever i do i cant get into the config screen of the extender: not wired not wireless and or after a factory reset. At least i hoped for some nifty security protocols.
How does it work? Does it get a IP from my router? (didnt activate the MAC in my authorization list...so it cant get a IP from my router). Every unknown MAC is blocked. Not the extender, it just "grabs one"?
Please help me guys cause im getting nuts overhere. Where do i go wrong?
Thanks in advance.
