Static IP Address changing

Hi,

I'm probably missing something really obvious but if anyone can nudge me in the right direction that would be grand.

I have recently bought a Synology DS212 NAS drive and I had some problems with IP conflicts, so after a bit of investigation I gleaned that the best thing to do would be to assign each device on my home network its own static IP.

So I went into the router settings and selected LAN IP setup and assigned everything as follows:

It includes a couple of TP-link network mains plugs. I'm sure this is more information than you need but just in case!

# IP Address Device Name MAC Address
1 192.168.0.2 WILSON-1A042D48 50:E5:49:15:9D:73
2 192.168.0.3 Diskstation 00:11:32:11:D6:FE
3 192.168.0.4 Upstairs plug F8:D1:11:C9:A1:C1
4 192.168.0.5 Downstairs Plug F8:D1:11:C9:A3:CD
5 192.168.0.6 Playstation FC:0F:E6:C3:D3:EC
6 192.168.0.7 Alphone 04:46:65:4A:73:4E
7 192.168.0.8 Notebook 00:24:D2:AA:DE:A9

I have just the computer (the first device) turned on and then switch on the NAS drive. When I look at attached devices I see that it has been assigned IP address to the one in the LAN setup: it's being given an 04 when it should be 03. Here's a print:

Attached Devices

# IP Address Device Name MAC Address
1 192.168.0.2 WILSON-1A042D48 50:E5:49:15:9D:73
2 192.168.0.4 DISKSTATION 00:11:32:11:D6:FE

Does anyone have any ideas?

I've just previewed this post and it seems that the colons in the mac addresses generate emoticons, please ignore them!

Thanks
