Purchased the PTV2000 yesterday and have not had success yet. I have an Alienware MX14 laptop that supports this feature but have had zero success. This laptop is also on the approved list from Netgear and Intel.
When I start Widi it finds my Netgear PTV2000 but as soon as I connect the screen flashes and I get 'Unable to send desktop to remote display', ...restart the application, if problem persists, please... reinstall Intel WiDi.... NOTE: I also get a firmware upgrade prompt from 2.0.3.9 to 3... but it doesn't stay connected long enough to allow me to upgrade. Usually IT stuff is easy for me but this one has been a bear. I've literally spent 10+ hours uninstalling and re-installing drivers with no change. I've turned off Norton and FW but still no connection.
My TV is one of the latest LG 1080P plasma flat screens. I can connect my laptop direct to it and it works fine.
I have the most current drivers for my Wifi, Widi and Intel graphics card. I've even downgraded and installed the original earlier driver versions but had the exact same results. I've come full circle back to where I started and need help.
