I just installed a Netgear WNDR4000 to get my wireless home network up and running. BUT - now that I am accessing the internet, I am getting pop-up window messages every minute or so saying that various servers at NETGEAR WNDR 4000 require my username & password and that it will be sent in an insuecure manner. There appear to be two different servers involved: "money.service.msn.com" and "weather.service.msn.com". The actual message in the pop-up window reads:
"The server weather.service.msn.com at NETGEAR WNDR 4000 requires a username and password. WARNING: This server is reqesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection). .... And then it provides fields for me to input my Username and Password.
How can I get rid of these? It doesn't make sense to be putting username & password info into unsecured connections. HELP!!!!
