I've had my NETGEAR WNR1000v3 N150 Wireless Router for about a year or so now. Unfortunately, I've never updated the firmware to it although from reading the details for the only 2 updates I could've done, there appears to be no security fixes. Recently, I've been trying to update the firmware although after it says it's downloading the update & finishes nothing happens. Upon refreshing my router it says the same version as before.
I've come to the conclusion that I must reset it to it's factory defaults, then download & install the firmware manually. However, I'm extremely concerned that something could go wrong (perhaps a random loss in connection), which could cause my router to become bricked. Is there anyway at all I could unbrick it in the event this happens?
