Wnr2000 losing connection?

I recently had to purchase a new router as my old one died. I have done everything I can find on trouble shooting for the issue such as switching channels. My WNR2000 keeps disappearing on occasion. I have never had issues with the computer that is hard lined from the router. My Xbox or roku box randomly drops connection to the router. Doesn't seem that the router loses connection to the Internet, just that it quits transmitting to where it can't be found. It usually resolves itself within a minute or two. I did notice that it seems to stay connected if I am downloading something just fine, so I'm not sure what is going on?

I figure it may just be an interference issue (I have moved it a few feet away from the computer) and may just need to upgrade to the next step up since it claims to avoid interference. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
