my problem is not related to wi-fi but to the LAN ports. I am trying to set-ul my F470IP voip base with my brand new D6300. Every time I set up the voip providers in the F470IP the router would freeze and needs a re-boot. Nothing work when frozen, not evel the LAN ports. I have used the voip system for over 4 years with 3 other modems and it worked flawlessly-set up once and forget.
I am absolutely sure this is a firmware issue. There's no IP conflict in the system, I reserved on in the router and the voip base is connecting and it is all good as long as it doesn't try to contact a voip provider. When it does, the modem freezes within 2 minutes and it would not restart unless the voip box is disconnected. To reconnect it I need to erase all the settings in the voip box...
Help please? I need my voip phones. If this is not sorted soon I will have to take the D6300 back to the store. Shame that at the asking price (5X more than a vanilla wireless router, 3X moe than a wireless router with voip ports) it has no voip option...
