Unfortunately, I bought a Netgear stora 3 years ago.... and dumped important files onto it.
3 years later, I need those files.
Welp... I dont remember my password.
I did factor reset. Good. Up and running..
Uh-oh.. I dont see my old files. I know they are on there because the disk has 300 gigs of data on it... but I only see the "Library Folders" with nothing in them.
Ok, so I searched in the interwebs... found out about gaining access to the root folders to find MY OLD FILES.
I did this:
http://www.openstora.com/wiki/index....sy_Root_Access
Entered everything as per the instructions.. Got all the way to entering "sudo -E -s".. it prompts me for password again. I enter password. Then:
"audit_log_user_command(): Connection refused
bash-3.2#"
THE END. Nothing happens after that. What is supposed to happen here?
Is there supposed to be a root prompt???? The notes say there is a root prompt.. but not sure what that is? What is a root prompt??
Thanks
