Hello, If you are reading this, i appreciate the time you have taken to possibly help me with this task. I own a dual band WNDR3400 Netgear router and it has worked great for my family. During the past week or so we have been getting errors on a couple of our computers and laptops saying that there was another pc with the same ip address.
Normally, this didn't cause an issue. Within the past 3 or 4 days however, we are losing internet connection anywhere from 5 times a day to 40 or more. Only for a short period of time (5-10 minutes). Though a couple of times we had to manually reset the router and modem.
I don't consider myself to be super tech savvy, but out of everyone in the family i think i at least know a bit more about computers. I went into the router settings and made sure it was set to Dynamically give out the IP address and to make sure that all of the connected equipment wasnt sharing the same IP address. I am absolutley at my whits end. I have torn most of my own hair out over this situation because everyone looks to me for the solutions.
Some back info:
- The home network is secure so i am not worried about it being someone from outside my network.
-I have gone to all of the pc/laptop and done the following/ Run>CMD>Ipconfig/release>ipconfig/renew (something i read to do online)
I can gladly provide the info in the ipconfig if it necessary. I am just hoping to get this resolved.
