I have a small business network and I am trying to add wireless to the office.
The network is setup on a 192.168.1.1 /24 network.
In the server room I have a DSL modem plugged into a Cisco pix that provides basic routing, vpn and is the default gateway set at 192.168.1.1
The PIX is connected to a Cisco 2900 series 24 port switch that feeds the office workstations and server. the switch is configured at 192.168.1.3 but only for admin and passes data without a hop leaving the DG at 192.168.1.1 (the Pix).
I have an open port in the downstairs office and I am trying to set up the WNDR3400 on it.
I set the internet settings to:
IP Adress: 192.168.1.2 SM: 255.255.255.0 DG: 192.168.1.1 with no user or pass required.
I set the LAN to 192.168.2.1 / 255.255.255 and DHCP etc...
It will not work and I can not get the unit to respond to ping on the internet/wan port.
Any advice on home to make this work on an existing small office network would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean
