When using the unit in the "cover view" the DVD title pictures are displayed. Movies watched partially are flagged with a small circle icon (half blue, half white), and movies watched in complete are flagged with a small circle icon completely blue. I couldn't find a full explanation of the behavior of these flags in the user manual. The above scenario seems to be straightforward and it's working until the unit is turned OFF. What I mean by OFF is completely shut down, power off to the NeoTV-500. When that happens all the indicators appear to be lost, erased or just discarded, whatever. Is there a way to change this behavior and save the watch status history forever, or until it's manually deleted by the user?
I'm not quite sure where this history is saved, but is shouldn't matter if it's on the respective attached hard disks, or on the SD card. (To speed up the pictures display I try to use the SD card to store the results of the "browsing folders" process. The unit is used ONLY in standalone mode with 3 hard drives attached.)
While there may be a temptation to say that so if turning off power deletes the watch history just don't do it, that is not a practical suggestion. First of all I do not watch movies every day, and why to have the unit on all the time. Second, in my area (suburb of Chicago) there are frequent power outages, and also regular brownouts that trip the attached power surge protector. So a power loss can occur just about any time.
Is there a way to reliably save the history, so one would know what movies were used since the last manual deletion of the history.
Any suggestion wouldl be greatly appreciated.
Regards
