My Hardware Setup
Cable modem connected to internet
CAT 6 Ethernet cable from cable modem to First Netgear R6200 Wireless Router
CAT 6 Ethernet cable from Netgear R6200 Wireless Router to Main PC
Second Netgear R6200 Wireless Router setup up as Wireless Bridge
CAT 6 Ethernet cable from Second Netgear R6200 Wireless Router to Home Theater PC
CAT 6 Ethernet cable from Second Netgear R6200 Wireless Router Synology Diskstation DS +1812 networked hard disk
Here is my problem - if I try to transfer files from my Main PC directly to the Synology networked hard disk, I get transfer speeds from 2 - 4 Mbps, way too slow. But if I remote into my HTPC using Remote Desktop Connection and initiate the same transfer from my main PC to the Synology, I get 20 Mbps
transfer speed which is way better. Am I missing something? Is there a setting I need to change? I am posting this in both the Netgear and Synology forums and will hopefully figure this out.
If there is any more info anyone needs just let me know.
Thanks
Don
