VPN Firewall FVX538 running latestest firmware
Looking for some help on how to restrict SMTP connections into a clients local Exchange server.
Currently the client allows all WAN traffic to send SMTP to their Exchange server at the IP 192.168.1.33. This is allowing Spammers to bypass the SPAM filter and send directly to the server.
The client uses a SPAM Filter provider with servers located on the following IP address ranges.
107.21.0.0/255.255.0.0
66.175.84.0/255.255.255.0
The goal is to accept SMTP traffic only from the SPAM filter IP ranges and block all other SMTP connections.
When I try and restrict the WAN SMTP IP address using the Inbound Services" "WAN Users" "IP Range" option the ranges are not allowing any SMTP to flow into the LAN.
What is the best option for setting up this WAN to LAN SMTP rule?
Thank you in advance.
