I have recently added two WN1000RP to my parents home network. I am having the same problem with both. They are on different SSID to the main router (and each other) and both have the newest firmware. Neither are connected via WPS.
If no device is connected to the extenders for a period of time (eg overnight) then nothing can connect to them until they have been turned off and turned on.
On a Mac I get the error message "could not connect to ..... the network timed out" and on ipad/iPhone it just tells me it can't connect.
I am trying to make this as user-friendly as possible for my parents as they are not technically minded at all, and even understanding that they might need to reset the APs when they want to use them would be a stretch!
Is there a way to prevent them having to switch the extenders on and off each time they are not used for a few hours?
