I've searched and found nothing particular to my setup.
Have NG readynas duo V1 with .vob and a few .h264 and BD .ISO files I just ripped BR using clownBD. Have been using ps3 but i wanted to start streaming BD .ISO which the ps3 doesn't support thats why I got the 550.
New NG GS105 switch and new NG 550 this week. All new cat6 cables. NAS and main comp off switch are setup for jumbo frames and speed has increased but not by much.
With the new 550, the .ISO's act like they are loading but after 5 min I just stop it because they haven't started playing, just says "loading" such as on transformers. So I ripped .h264 and made the container folder on the nas. The 550 sees it and starts to play it but after a few seconds it starts freezing up and I have to keep hitting pause so it can catch up. It does the exact same thing with .vob files. The PS3 with the same cable has no problems with .vob and doesnt freeze or studder.
550 network test averages 6 Mbps
PS3 network test same cable is avg 20Mbps
I bought a NG WN2000RPT and connected it to the 550 and average network test is 40Mbps. .ISO will still load but wont play. .h264 will play for a few MINUTES now but still freezes, studders. .Vob STILL freeze and studder
PS3 with the NG WN2000RPT network test avg is still 20Mpbs and .Vob plays flawless.
Thought it was the cable and went out and bought a new Cat5 and the results are the same.
Any thoughts? Thanks
