I have Sky fibre arriving tomorrow so I bought a WNDR4500 in advance to replace the standard router.
I have an all gigabit network plus a laptop with Intel 5300 AGN which claims 450mbps (although only two aerials are connected).
I was persuaded to stump the extra cash for this model as the advertised wireless speed of 900mbps was appealing.
First question can I have 'proper' dual band wifi with this adapter? If not do I need a broadcom one with Intesifi or whatever the branding is?
Why am I only getting 300mbps right next to the router?
I have read other threads which are more about achieving necessary bandwidths for certain purposes, I simply want to check if I have got what I paid for.
