Hi All,
This is the message that pops up when I start my laptop, that connects wirelessly to the WNDR3800:
"NETGEAR USB Control Center failed to create firewall rule. Please configure the firewall manually by adding exception for the following port: 7423 (UDP Out Port)"
I found a similar question in the Netgear questions search but the solution steps don't match what I see in my Netgear genie. I have tried updating the Router Firmware (now at V1.0.0.32) but the steps still don't match.
The option on the message is to click OK.
This by passing of the firewall rule seems to be affecting my printer function as well.
After clicking OK, and opening the Control Center, I can see the printer as "available" but it won't print.
I am not an expert in these matters so please try to explain what I need to do in laymans terms.
I appreciate any support you can offer.
I will have another question about printing from my Ubuntu/Linux wired desktop after I get this issue resolved.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.
