Gentleman/ladies,
Just got my and on a Netgear FVS336Gv2 box, and the procession of things seems to be very different than the average router.
I read the book, i search the forujms, but all responses were giving in the way that somone already knows this router, i used many routers before, simple to configure, but this router, took things at a different angle, so i do need a step by step aproach.
Simple,
We have a hotel with GUEST/OFFICE, all office machines are located in the lower IP range (FIXED) and all guest laptops are located in the High IP range
I just need a simple way to tell the router, that for the lower ip ranges
eg 10.0.0.10 - 10.0.0.50 gets bandwidth profile "A"
eg 10.0.1.1 - 10.0.1.254 gets bandwidth profile "B"
I have already setup the bandwidth profiles.....
Base on what i have read here, all the rules needs to be applied on the FIREWALL tab (menu)
When i goto the Firewall menu under INBOUND (i guess this is where i apply the bandwidth profile), this seems like a normal "port forward" option to me, and i'm not looking for port forwarding..
On normal routers, there is a menu, bandwith,..
all i would do is goto that menu, create my bandwith amount, and tell it on which wan port to apply it, and to which IP's giving me a range
I saw an option here to create IP Groups, but it's only allowing me to create ip groups base on 1 single IP at a time, i would have like to done that base on a range of IP's also
plz help
thanks
